Staining

  • Stain color options are available to view on our website. Swatch samples will also be available to view at a site visit if one is conducted.

  • When a few of your favorite stain options are chosen, we will apply samples of those stain choices to your wood floor during the sanding stage.

Finishes

  • The sheen level of finish is decided with the customer before the final coat is applied.

  • Finish applied will be dry within a few hours, allowing clients to safely walk on their floor in clean socks! Furniture can be replaced within 72 hours, and area rugs can be replaced after 5 days.

Payments & Scheduling

Scheduling

  • After a client accepts their proposal and a non-refundable deposit is paid, they can choose any available time frame for their project to be scheduled.

  • Scheduling is first come, first serve. We cannot hold project dates for a client until they’ve accepted their proposal and paid a non-refundable deposit.

Payments

  • For projects that require new materials (such as wood flooring to be installed), a deposit to cover the cost of flooring materials is before or on the day that the materials are ordered. This will generally be 2-3 weeks before the project start date.

  • Payment schedules are provided to the client on their invoice listing the amounts due on specific days. We require 65% of any outstanding balance upon arrival on the first day of the project.

  • Any unpaid balance is due upon substantial completion of the project before Wood Tech leaves the site.

Payment Methods

  • We accept Cash, Check, and Money Order. We also offer ACH payments that can be made directly through a client’s electronic invoice!

Other Details

Furniture

  • We are not responsible for moving furniture. All furniture must be removed from the work area prior to our arrival.

  • Furniture will need new felt pads installed when it’s put back in place after the project is completed.

Appliances

  • In kitchens, we will move and replace appliances as needed to refinish flooring underneath.

  • We do not disconnect or reconnect gas lines and water lines. The client will be responsible to complete this themselves or hire a professional.

Carpet And Other Existing Flooring

  • We can remove and dispose of all types of flooring.
