Wood Floor Repair & Restoration

Accidents can happen that may leave your floors damaged and you frustrated - an appliance may leak, toilets overflow, or you may even face fire damage. Whatever the cause, you can count on Wood Tech to bring your floor back to life with our restoration and repair techniques.

We’ll discuss your options and provide a detailed, comprehensive estimate. In many cases, we can preserve the undamaged part of the floor while only repairing the damaged area, which will save you money and retain much of the character of your flooring.

The newly restored flooring section will match wood species, grading, width, and thickness of the existing wood floor in your home. Often times it’s necessary to refinish the entire floor after a repair has been performed.

Maybe your floor isn’t damaged but you’d like to refresh the look and minimize scratches in the finish. A maintenance coat (buff & coat) may be right for you! Using this technique, we lightly sand the floor, careful to not wear through the remaining layer of finish, and then apply a new, fresh layer of finish. This removes or minimizes the visibility of surface scratches and is a much more budget-friendly option compared to a full refinish. This is a great option for homeowners that like the look of their floor but just want to freshen it up! Performing maintenance coats every 4-8 years depending on the wear level is an important part of protecting the wood floor itself. A maintenance coat builds the protective layer of finish back up and, when done regularly, may allow you to avoid have to do a full refinish unless you want to change the color of your floor.
